Clionadh Heirloom & Courtyard Vibrant Multi-Coloration Eyeshadow Evaluations & Swatches

heirloom

Clionadh Heirloom Vibrant Multichrome Eyeshadow ($ 12.50 for 0.05 oz.) Is a medium-sized bluish-teal base with a sparkling sheen that went from gold to green to bluish-teal, giving it a bright, metallic finish with lots of sheen. According to the brand, it should switch between “gold-green-turquoise”, which I could personally see without complete distortion!

The consistency was soft, loosely pressed, but not prone to failure (even when I used a dry brush it was very slight; fingertip / dampened brush were the recommended application methods!) And was wonderfully faded out without fading out too quickly. It had an opaque color coverage in a single layer that held well for eight and a half hours before noticeably fading.

The formula is said to have an “intense color shift reflex and a colorful, saturated base” with more “small / medium particles” and therefore “behave” similarly to the brand’s Glitter Multichrome.

For reference, the glitter multichromes have “different levels of opacity” and gloss sizes (they do not contain plastic or PET glitter and are safe for the eyes!). According to the brand, they recommend applying it by tapping it on with a fingertip or a dampened brush and using a sticky base (“glitter glue”) for shades with larger particle sizes. They also warn against using a lighter hand with the formula and that “there may be some failures while applying”.

One of the nicer things about shopping from indie brands is that they often provide more detailed information on how to use their products and fix potential flaws, such as: Clionadh mentions that failure can occur during use, which is rarely seen (in general).

The Vibrant Multichromes were very pigmented and were applied with a fingertip or a dampened brush, although I had no problem picking up and applying a product with a dry brush. Often times, when I squeezed / patted the shade, the top coat would become semi-opaque – and I had minimal impact.

For as sparkling and as gently squeezed as the formula was, I was actually surprised that there was no more fallout. It was so minimal that I didn’t feel the need to clean up – I just put my primer on it. You should use a lighter hand and make a more urgent movement rather than twirling or thrusting movements to pick up the product.

The formula has a saturated base color along with contrasting shimmer / sparkle, and then there is a multichromatic shift. The shift wasn’t as intense / noticeable as with the Jeweled Multichromes – which was as expected! – but I think the Vibrant Multichromes can look more impressive because they really change at all angles between the moderate shift and the sparkle. They are extremely multi-dimensional hues and since they don’t have a more intense black base they are very forgiving if you over-mix the edge / base.

They wore on me between eight and nine hours with minimal fading and falling out over time (tested over bare skin!).

Clionadh Courtyard Vibrant multicolored eyeshadow ($ 12.50 for 0.05 oz.) Is a bright, light green base with a metallic sheen and a faint sheen that shifted from pinky-peach to peachy-gold to green-gold to a more chartreuse-green. According to the brand, it should switch between “peach-gold-lime”.

It had rich pigmentation in a single layer that worked well with a dry brush, dampened brush, or fingertips, although the latter two methods had no fallout and applying a dry brush had a hint of fallout – but nothing that It affects (you will want to) first press / tap on it, then spread and spread). The texture was more loosely pressed, but soft, smooth, and had a slight slippage to it which helped it be applied evenly and stay well on my lid. It was eight and a half hours before something faded.
