ColourPop Crossroads Pressed Powder Blush Evaluate & Swatches

Color Pop Crossroads Pressed Powder Blush ($ 10.00 for 0.13 oz.) Is a muted, medium-dark coral with strong, warm undertones and golden micro-stains over a semi-matte finish. It had an almost opaque pigmentation in a single layer, so it wasn’t quite as buildable as the formula described, although a lighter hand could certainly be used for a buildable application.

The texture was finely ground, soft and slightly powdery without getting messy in the pan. The product was applied evenly to the bare skin and diffused well along the edges, although the spots of micro glitter did not appear to be evenly distributed and appeared to be random. It carried well for eight hours before noticeably fading.

Formula overview

$ 10.00 / 0.13 oz. – – $ 76.92 per ounce

The formula is said to go on “smoothly” and to have a “natural and healthy blush” with “long wear” and “can be layered to the desired intensity”. It is a light to moderately powdery powder red with semi-transparent to semi-opaque, buildable color payouts. The consistency feels drier and thinner, and although it feels silky to the touch, I found that it can be difficult to evenly distribute the type of powder red on the skin, depending on the skin type or basic preferences. The drier the skin / base, the better the formula would blend, but natural oils or slips caused an uneven blush and were difficult to hide. The wear and tear for me averaged between seven and eight hours.
