ColourPop Evening Bloom Blush Overview & Swatches

Color Pop Night Bloom Pressed Powder Blush ($ 10.00 for 0.13 oz.) Is a lighter, medium lavender with cooler undertones and a semi-matte finish. It had a semi-opaque, buildable color cover – so more than a real buildable but not intensely pigmented one – which could be used for a real, buildable cover with a slightly lighter hand if desired.

The texture felt soft and silky and was neither too powdery nor too tightly pressed into the pan, which made it easy to pick up different brushes. The blush was applied well to bare skin and faded out with minimal effort, which was a bit of a surprise as sometimes the matte blushes in this formula stick or are harder to blend without powdering first. It stayed good for eight hours before noticeably fading.

The formula is said to go on “smoothly” and have a “natural and healthy blush” that has “long wear” and “can be layered to the desired intensity”. It is a light to moderately powdery powder red with a semi-transparent to semi-opaque, buildable color display. The consistency feels drier and thinner, and while it feels silky, I’ve found that the type of powder blush can be difficult to evenly distribute on the skin, depending on your skin type or base preferences. The drier the skin / base, the better the formula would blend, but natural oils or slips caused an uneven blush and were hard to fade out. The wear and tear averaged between seven and eight hours for me.
